The â€Å"unfreeze† phase took a lot of courage especially since this was not a company in crisis. Although concerns were mentioned, nothing really stood out as a motivating factor to induce fundamental change. So - the consultant Bob Janson, helped to coagulate the feeling of guilt through finding the â€Å"Positive Dissatisfaction† within the organization at AAL. I was engrossed reading about the snapshot in time they created by performing structured interview through a diagonal cross section of the company. Through the interviews, the gap between where the company wanted to be and where it really was became clear. They used this as a tool to work on the employees and get them on board with the planned organizational transformation. Through the process of change at the corporate level, the inclination for restructuring at IPS grew. It was fully supported by the new management team. IPS had several concerns around w hich to formulate the reason for change. They set some broad parameters, which they then designed into a detailed plan. Communication became the most important thing at this point, which they struggled with for a while, due to the sheer size of the department in terms of head count. Photography Photography is more than just a means for documentation. Photography is more than snap shots at a family reunion. A fine art photographer makes more choices than people realize. Point and click is not the solution for taking a photograph (John Szarkowski 9-12) . A fine art photographer may choose to freeze action or to blur it. The freezing or blurring of action is not just done at the push of a button, it takes knowledge and an understanding of how apertures and shutter speeds relate to each other under different circumstances with different types of film (Barbara London and John Upton 98). In the photograph class I attend now I cannot take a picture for I think it will be a good image. To my professor, who is a fine art photographer, images cannot be good just because. There is the big question that many would like the answer to. What is art and what is not art (Antonia LoSopio 9-12)? Is photography only art if it answers a question or if the photographer has a well thought out plan? Can a photograph be good just because it is pleasing to look upon? Is a photograph art for it is correctly printed and exposed (Henry Horenstein Intro)? What is art and when is the line drawn that something becomes art or is down graded to just a â€Å"nice† image? The other question is who gets to decide? What gives one person the power over another to decide what is and isn’t art?
